“Feed The Wolf”, By Rob Eldridge

Thank You Adam PacMan Taylor galaxy454 for your very cool interpretation of a tune I recorded with Steven Foxbury Yellow Couch Studioa couple years ago. Tune is called “Feed The Wolf”. The entire record is available on vinyl and can be heard on most all streaming services and Apple Music Rob Eldridge- Ideas To Art. Mastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering. Dig in!
VS1
It’s not what you stare at – it’s more what you see
Knee deep in the different – our knees shake in the streams
I’m considered rich with my wants being cheap
Pockets full of stubborn – is all that you keep

Chorus:
Doesn’t matter if you feed the wolf
So feed the wolf
It’s never enough, never enough
And walk through his woods
Doesn’t matter if you feed the wolf
To a soft bed of pine
It’s never enough, never enough
Fingers through fur, so wild to the touch, together you’ll dine

VS2
Beneath all the skin – time flows through the heart
The fabric is wider and no seams come apart
Our feet walk to meet but stop at locked doors
It’s all set adrift in a boat with no oars

Madame Butterfly feat. My Grandfather -Tenor and My Grandmother on Piano

Just finished cleaning up this performance from the Shelburne Festival, in Vermont.  This version of Puccini’s Madame Butterfly was recorded in the 1960’s.

Performers: Herb Kenyon – tenor (my Grandfather), Beverly Kenyon – Piano (my Grandmother) and family friend Terry Trahan – soprano.

Enjoy.

Some Happy Folks Received Their Vinyl

Does my heart good to see these fine folks receive their vinyl gift.  I am so appreciative of their support and how they all dug in to help me realize my dream.  It’s pretty cool to hear your music on vinyl and even cooler to see other people enjoy it.

Thank you thank you thank you!!

The Magpie And The Muse

New song by Rob Eldridge

Price Of Your Toll- RIE  7.9.14

words and music by Rob Eldridge

dont even know whats right or what’s real

if you add all the years you start seeing cracks in the seal

but the look in your eyes- don’t say wrong

so you do your sidestep- and walk along

ya got your shield up like tough boards on a barn

walking through life leaving hearts ragged and torn

maybe one day you’ll take a look behind

and keep tough in your pocket and dole out a little kind

yea the price of your toll this time cost you one (2xs)

one step in your woods felt like ten

got called home for dinner not knowing when

I got sore legs climbing north to south

i thought i finished up strong but you put cotton in my mouth

ya got your shield up like tough boards on a barn

hiding your nest with a magpie spinning yarn

maybe one day you’ll take a look behind

and keep me in your pocket and call it one of a kind

yea the price of your toll this time cost you one (2xs)
